Guided Stargazing Session (~90 minutes):
- Welcome and introductory briefing: introduction to astronomy and explanation of the night sky based on the season and the position of the stars.
- Observation with professional telescopes: guided access to high-end telescopes for observing planets, nebulae, star clusters, and deep sky objects according to the season.
- Identification of constellations: real-time tour of the sky with an astronomical laser pointer and narration of the mythology associated with each visible constellation.
Timetable:
- Start of the activity: at dusk, exact time confirmed according to the season. The hotel notifies the definitive time on the day of the activity.
- Duration: approximately 90 minutes.
- Capacity: maximum 15 people per session.
- Basic Stargazing (from 15 €/person): The reference astronomical experience in Tenerife. A professional astronomer guides you through the visible universe from one of the most spectacular skies in the Canary Islands. Telescopes, constellations, planets, and the best stories of the sky, all in a small group and outdoors.
- Dinner at La Vendimia Restaurant + Stargazing: Start the evening at La Vendimia with a set menu designed for the occasion and end it by stargazing. Mountain gastronomy and astronomy in one night.
- Spa + Dinner at La Vendimia Restaurant + Stargazing: The complete experience of Hotel Spa Villalba. Relax in our thermal circuit, enjoy dinner at La Vendimia, and end the night discovering the universe with a professional astronomer. Total disconnection from start to finish.
- Warm clothing: Even if the afternoon is warm, temperatures in the mountains drop significantly at nightfall. We recommend coming with layers, jacket or coat, and comfortable and closed footwear.
- Arrive on time: The session starts promptly. We ask you to arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the indicated time to not miss the introduction.
- Bring your camera: The astronomer can guide you on basic settings for photographing the starry sky with your smartphone or DSLR camera. You don’t need to be a professional photographer.
- Suitable for all ages: The activity is perfect for families. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Weather conditions: In case of cloudy skies that prevent observation, the session may be adapted to an interactive astronomical talk indoors. The hotel will inform in advance if there are any changes.
- Book in advance: The capacity is limited to 15 people per session. The available dates for 2026 have limited spots.
Reservations
The activity requires prior reservation. The maximum capacity is *15 people per session.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 7 calendar days before the activity date. After that period, the reservation is non-refundable. Cancellations within 7 days prior to the activity or not showing up on the day of the activity (no-show) will not entitle to a refund of the amount paid.
Modifications
Date changes can be made subject to availability, as long as they are requested at least 7 days in advance of the originally reserved date.
Weather conditions
Hotel Spa Villalba reserves the right to modify or cancel the activity due to adverse weather conditions that prevent observation (rain, storm, dense fog). In this case, an alternative date will be offered to the participant or a full refund of the amount will be provided. Partially cloudy skies do not automatically result in cancellation; the final decision will be made by the guide and the hotel team at the time of the activity.
Minors
Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the activity.
